Independent sustainability and business responsibility expert, co-founder and director of NGO "Gyva LT" , member of advisory group for National Sustainable Development Strategy under the supervision of Environment Ministry in Lithuania. In 2005 I obtained MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice at Bath University and a bachelor degree in economics and business administration at Stockholm School of Economics in Riga in 2000.
Since 2003 I have been cooperating with Lithuanian media in promoting sustainable development, corporate responsibility, ethical consumption and environmentally friendly life style ideas in Lithuania. In 2007-2008 I had worked at UNDP Lithuania on the regional EC project to promote CSR practices and in 2008-2009 worked at Nordic Council of Ministers‘ Office in Lithuania on the project promoting responsible business practices in SMEs.
In 2009 I have been nominated in the category „Initiative of the Year“ in the national „The Woman of the Year 2008“ elections for the „Initiative to create green and sustainable Lithuania“.
At present I mainly focus on our "Gyva LT" initiative "Let's not buy bottled water" and consult organizations on business responsibility and sustainability questions.

I would gladly like to invite you to participate in the conference “Cities of the Future” held in Vilnius, Lithuania on October 14 2011.
Please see attached draft agenda, conference description and the registration form.
The conference is free of charge, but travel and accommodation costs are up to the participants. Places are limited. The registration is until 23 September 2011.
This conference is organized by the Municipality of Vilnius and I am honored I was able to help them a little bit in preparation of the agenda and the questionnaire to the union members.
If the theme is of your interest, I would be happy to see you in Vilnius. If you have come across interesting initiatives relevant to this conference, please let me know – we will see if we could somehow cover them during the conference.
May I ask you to forward this invitation to anyone who you think might be interested in attending the conference? I would be very grateful!
